TGIF!!!!

FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY! Wow am I glad!!! This week has been VERY long!! School for Jansen and Brady has now ended (as of yesterday) so I now have upcoming 6th and 3rd graders! As I sat at Brady's graduation from 5th grade, I realized...."wow, I'm getting old"!!! I've decided to try harder to take in and absorb as much of my boy's character and ways right now so that I'll remember more later. I was looking at Todd Michael last night as he was watercolor painting (the paper AND my table), realizing that he was no longer a baby. In some ways I'm sad, but in more ways I'm excited to see what he future holds.

Jansen and I are off to Virginia next Thursday morning! He is happy to get the chance to spend time with both sides of his family...although his favorite is his Aunt Janie!! I'm planning on taking tons of photos with my mom, she's getting older and I'm afraid these photos are going to become harder to obtain. I'm also going to raid her old photos again and hopefully come home with them!! Hee Hee! She trusts me to have them, knowing that I will appreciate and most likely preserve them in a scrapbook! Imagine that!

New? Furniture...

Ok...per request of some of my friends, I am adding photos of my newly redecorated, garage sale find furniture for my scraproom! I found these stripped napkins at Target and co-ordinating tissue paper that I modge podged on and then covered with a glaze sealant. I'm also white washing my walls and painting one wall lime green. Hopefully, I will have a bright, inspirational place to create in soon!!!

If only I could cut out the fat parts in real life!

Louise is nosey!

Since my buddy Louise noticed that I haven't added anything here for a couple of days...I thought I'd jump in and share some thoughts!

Right now...I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and have no one to blame but myself! I have tons of scrapping to do, purse projects coming out of my ears, and now I've taken on a new task of remodeling my scraproom! What is my problem??? I am making a promise to myself to finish this darn room before moving on to something else! Let's see how long that lasts! For the past two days I've been working on some wooden furniture that I bought at a local garage sale really cheap. Adding nice color and texture, with hopes of making an environment that totally matches! I'll post pictures when I get some of the furniture finished.

In addition to my crazy habits...I've also found a new passion for photography. Of course I have no clue as to what I'm doing...I still enjoy the fun of taking tons of pictures. I'm adding a few of myself that I did, playing with the manual mode on my new digital camera.

Ahhhh Mother's Day...such a wonderful day! I was woke up by the boys this morning and taken to breakfast at IHOP...YUM!! We came home and they surprised me with the perfect gift - the camera bag I wanted for my new camera!! We then jetted off to spend some time in Austin. We did some shopping and had dinner at Red Lobster. I feel very blessed to call these boys my own and am SO thankful to be a mom!

Ok...so all my friends have these "Blog" things and so I figured I better jump on the bandwagon or be left behind!! I'm always the procrastinator...I guess I always wait to see how things work for other people before jumping into it myself! Hopefully I'll be able to learn more and be able to post about the boys.
